Docent Tour – Shiota Chiharu: The Soul Trembles

I am proud to have created a docent tour video for 1a space's Jockey Club Contemporary Art Literacy and Appreciation Programme. The video features Shiota Chiharu's exhibition, The Soul Trembles, at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum in 2021.
Shiota's works explore profound themes like life, death, the human body, and identity through the use of simple materials like thread and cloth. Creating this video allowed me to deeply experience and interpret her installations for others.
As the director, I was involved in various aspects of production, including coordinating with the museum, writing the script, filming, and narrating. As the docent, my aim in narrating was to inspire viewers to discover new meanings and resonances in each piece of work, rather than just providing details.
